This njgtice also expands the existing clamrm~ssel, oyster and carnivorous snail closure to include the area around Lubec Channel due to the increased risk of con- tamination. On July 20 the DMR issued a notice closing Exception Area 64-B-01 and 64- B-03 in inner Cobscook Bay to the harvest of mussels, European oysters and surf/hen clams due to the increased risk of contam- ination. This notice also expands the exist- ing clam, mussel, oyster and carnivorous snail closure to include the area around Carrying Place Cove, Eastport, and Bar Harbor, Eastport, due to the increased risk of contamination. On July 25 the DMR issued a notice for Area No. 64-B, reducing the existing clam and carnivorous snail closure in inner Cob- scook Bay and Lubec due to the decreased risk of contamination.
